How the hell is that supposed to be funny?
I just saw thisd commercial last night and I am outraged. It was bad enough that they have been giving everybody this general negative TV portryal, but this is sinking to a new low. If you do not take pleasure and joy in seeing an animal or duck getting it’s leg broken, then why the hell would you consider it "funny" by seeing something as bad as this? That’s the kind of injury that would hospitalize someone. I resent these commercials that are supposed to make women want to shop if it’s at the man’s expense. I am going to send some compliants about this horrible commercial to the Wal-Mart headquarters, and the TV and commercial producers. It’s one thing when you are making the man look stupid in everyday life at home, but this is adding insult to injury. Having him dress up like a clown AND impale his foot. And yet, those 2 women on the couch weren’t even asking if he was alright. No one showed any worry for his well-being. If you were one of those 2 women on the couch, would you also just sit there like that, or would you be very worried for his health and call 911?

I swear, these negative commercials have gone on too far that it’s gotten to the point that I want to see this stuff happening to the woman now. I want them to make the man look smart and bright and awesome while making the woman look like a pathetic fool. It’s not like this in real life, yet they are constantly giving the viewing audience that it is. You may think it’s harmless fun and know that 31 year old men such as myself know that it’s fake and offensive, but what about the younger males? Kids in school? If this constant negative portrayl of men on TV keeps up, they might get brainwashed into believing this stuff and a number of them may act like that when they’re older because of the influcence of the media. I don’t know who is in charge of these commercials and I don’t know who is making them, but I hope they are getting enough feedback by both men AND women that it’s not ok, they’ve had their fun, and it’s time for the negative portrayal of men on TV to stop. If all men were really that moronic, their brains would be half the size of what the human brian normally is and they would never have been able to graduate high school.

I resent these commercials so much that I now want to see women portrayed as morons on TV too equalize it out, to make up for the horrible discrimation against men. Don’t you think that would be equal and fair?
I have been offended by these commercials for so long that I’ve had enough, that I am defintiely going to start writing to people who make this stuff and the people in charge of it.
If you stand for EQUALITY, then you should also be greatly offended by it to.

If writing to Wal-Mart made a difference in how they did business, the words ‘globalization’ and ‘exploitation’ wouldn’t be as nearly synonymous as they are. If I was given 3 wishes that could magically change the behavior of the megacorporation, I don’t think I’d make it down to "make their commercials more egalitarian."

In general, the stereotyping of men as big, dumb oafs (not to mention the inevitable punching bag for any sort of slapstick situation) is a bad thing – though I think the proper tense is quickly becoming "was" a bad thing (Wal-Mart doesn’t exactly target the new political generation – if you look to, say, modern superbowl ads, or sitcoms and shows appealing to new humor and culture ("30 Rock," "House," "Community" – even modern advertisements in sports and certain political outlets), the butt of the joke, typically a fat white man, is quickly becoming an equal opportunity position.

And, as a final point, just as I’d say to the stereotypical humorless feminist, you should not fear comedy (even bad comedy), and you definitely shouldn’t sacrifice humor to make a political point which is obvious anyway. A hiker falling off the side of a mountain and dying isn’t funny. Wile E. Coyote doing the same thing IS (this is not a point of dispute). And the man in the commercial is fictional, and the slapstick is sufficiently surreal not to be dramatic, putting this firmly in the cartoon column. And as much as I hate to praise Wal-Mart in any way, the end result, which is a clown jumping into a crowd of children, letting loose a bloodcurdling scream (from his injured foot) and scaring them all away, is chuckle-worthy.

Did yo notice this on Ben 10 alien swarm and did it annoy you?
While I was watching Ben 10 alien swarm the live action Ben 10 alien force movie, I noticed that Ben and Gwen were calling their own grandfather "Max".

The reason it annoys me is the fact that on the show they always say either "grandpa" or "grandpa Max".

The rest of the movie was Good accept at the beginning his watch was on the fritz and he said please "Spider-monkey" and he got the wrong "Big chill" instead.His watch wasn’t supposed to go on the fritz anymore because in "Alien force" it doesn’t do that anymore.Can someone explain that to.

Oh yeah the Girl in the movie named Elena replaced his other love interest "Julie Yamamoto" which seemed a little off to me also because she was their during the entire show and then they replace her.

Yes I noticed that and was wondering the same thing. I think Gwen referred to him once as grandpa Max (when Ben was using the com center for the first time). Got on my last nerves to hear them say Max so much. And Grandpa Max’s wig was bad.

The watch was on the fritz because the nano technology started messing with his watch when they were activated. That’s what took him so long in using it when the chips first started to attack. Besides in the Season 3 opener when Ben and Kevin tried to unlock the master controller and cause Kevin to morph into that materials master mix, the watch hasn’t been the same.

This movie has to be after the end of Alien Force because Kevin is back to normal, Ben got a new honey, and Gwen at one point in the movie had a blue glow hand instead of pink.

What bothers me is why their powers didn’t last long. Gwen glow beams was short burst and she didn’t use her shield, kevin only transformed long enough to hit, and ben transformed quicker then usual.
